To add a user/driver, you can only do this from Automile's desktop app. You can go under 'Settings', click on 'Users', and then click on 'Add User'.
Don't want to give the driver access to Automile app? Then check the box next to 'Only create driver (disables user creation)'.
Want to give the driver/user access to Automile app? Then leave the box next to 'only create driver' unchecked.
Want to give specific access to users?
Under Security section:
1) Add the default fleet, which allows administrators to retain permissions over that user. Optional: You can then also add additional fleets that you want them to have access to.
2) User role: Select Business driver, Commercial Driver, Fleet Manager (Note - these are just terms that you can use depending on the role the user plays, for documentation purposes. This does not determine what type of access users get).
3) User rights: This determines what level of access you want to provide the user. If you leave it empty, the user will have full access all vehicles in that fleet. Otherwise you can select specific access, such as “Edit Drivers”, “View Drivers”, “Edit Vehicles”, View Vehicles”, “Edit Fleet”, “View Fleet”, “Edit Trips”, “View Trip”, “Edit Your Trips Only” “View Your Trips Only”, “Create Drivers”, “Approval Administrator”, “Check-in/Out Administrator”.
4) Assign Vehicles - If you select one vehicle from the fleet, the user will be given access to only that vehicle. You can also select User Rights at the Vehicle level such as “Edit Vehicle”. “View Vehicle”, “Edit Trips”, “View Trips”, “View Live”, “Edit Your Trips Only”.
If you do not assign the user to the fleet and only assign to the vehicle, the user will not remain linked to your company but will still have access to that vehicle.
