Automile GPS works near-real time, meaning data is typically available no more than 2 minutes after taking place.
Occasionally, you might experience a delay with your vehicle's positioning in the live view due to poor GPS service. This issue commonly occurs because the vehicle was started/stopped in an area with poor satellite connection. However, this only affects the live view momentarily and doesn't affect your driving logs. Once the device reconnects itself to service, new data will be posted to your account. While connection does not disable the Box from recording data, the device is responsible for reconnecting on its own.
The Live Map itself updates every 15 seconds. But in the case of low network reception, the Live Map will update as soon as the Automile device can transmit the location data.
View vehicles closest to you
You can view the vehicles closest to any specific area on the map by entering a location name in the search bar on the Live Map window.
A list of vehicles in the vicinity will show up as a pop-up window, with the driver's name, and the distance from the location.
View Traffic, Geofences, and the Places
You can also view Traffic, Geofences, and the Places you have set up in a certain area through the Live Map.
Just select the appropriate checkboxes on the top right corner of the map under Map Options.
If have just set up your Automile Box and are unable to see any new trips, please read this article.
